D.R. Congo Container I:
Swahili Hymnbooks, Books & French Books
Shipping

Container packed with 70,000 books for D.R. Congo On June 6, 2006 the staff at Everyday Publications as well as our neighbours at Gospel Folio Press were delighted to watch as a huge crane lifted the 20 foot container, weighing about 13 tons and filled with more than 70,000 French and Swahili books, onto a truck for transport to Toronto. From Toronto it is scheduled to go by train to Quebec and from there by ship to the African continent. It is expected to reach its final destination in the D.R.Congo within three months.

Approximately 5,000 Swahili hymnbooks and about 7,500 Daily Light had been printed in China and were included on the container. The remaining 55,000 books were printed, glued or stapled, trimmed and packed by EPI’s production manager, Harold MacDougall and his crew of staff and volunteer helpers. The entire project took more than six months to complete but all those involved are grateful to the Lord for His help and the financial provisions which make it possible to send these books without cost to the missionaries and workers in a very needy part of Gods vineyard.
